Welcome!
Every speech, book, or - well, blog, is starting with Intro. Intros are common in music, and, of course, especially in dance music. Let's imagine this intro (and the first post to the blog) as the beginning of some great music track (just think about your favorite one right now, find it in you iPod or PC and put it on :) )! And - please, put it louder.. Let the music play!
About what this blog is:
- about my specific interests in dance music and Djing in particular (ehm, well, it is my blog, anyway :) )
- about dance music history and trends, and clubbing ant its culture
- and - of course! - about DJing; how I started DJing, how I learn and practice and getting better all the time
I plan that every post will contains several parts:
- main content - topic of the day
- track of the day - the reference to some classic club track which I think is worth listening and dancing to
- quote of the day related to the dance music
Quote of the day:
“That should be the way it is in everything you do in life. If you are true to yourself, then fuck the rest". RareshTrack of the day:
Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme
"Lola's Theme was the first hit for UK / Sweden house act Shapeshifters. The song features a sample replay by Mark Summers of Scorccio Sample Replays, a distinctive horn rif from Johnnie Taylor's 1982 R&B hit, "What About My Love." It went straight into the British charts at number 1 in July 2004. The duo went on to have a further two Top 20 UK hits. The song also topped the American Dance charts, peaking at number one on the Hot Dance Airplay chart in October 2004." (www.wikipedia.org)
